Introduction to Clinical Skills (seminar & workshop)
Dr. Wong is very knowledgeable, he is able to address the interview questions in a very unique way that makes you stand out from the crowd. His internationalist approach in dissecting the American Health Care Delivery System gives us an edge in the interview. I have attended other interview prep webinars and I can say Dr. Wong’s approach will definitely give you a new perspective on the common questions during an interview and make you shine as a candidate!

I was fortunate to get a family practice clinical rotation with Dr.Wong, at that time I also found out that he offers interview prep seminars and helps to write personal statements. First of all, whether you attend his seminars or not I have to say the rotation itself is a different experience compared to all the other rotations that I did. The bonus part of this rotation is that you get to interact with an experienced program director. In a 6 weeks rotation, he made me aware of the healthcare system and how to face reality as a medical practitioner, which no other preceptors thought to enlighten their students with. When I found out that he offers seminars to prep yourself for interviews I realized it is a golden opportunity to be prepared by an experienced program director who interviewed hundreds of applicants for years. I was able to understand the insights of a program director and how to impress them without memorizing the same type of questions and answers that others get prepped with. I have to say it was worth it and I would recommend to anyone who wants to stand out as a unique candidate.

Dr. Wong did not simply conduct a Q&A session. His approach was unique. He believes in originality. He was helping me mold my thinking in such a way that I could approach and answer many of the commonly asked questions during interviews and to steer the interviewer towards discussing some of the most important issues today's primary care is facing and to stand out among other applicants. Overall it was a great experience! Five stars!!!!

I would highly recommend Dr. Augustine Wong’s personal statement editing service. After putting my ideas and drafting (a very rough draft) of my personal statement, Dr. Wong worked with me to revise and edit my ideas into a more concise and eloquent manner. Knowing what program directors are looking from his great experience with residency programs in the past, Dr. Wong was able to give me advice as to what was relevant, what needed clarity or simply what needed to be cut out. After multiple drafts going back and forth, the end result was a personal statement that embodied everything I wanted to say, in a more clear and professional tone that was well laid out. I would not have achieved this quality of a statement my own, I felt confident and proud adding the statement to my application. 5 stars!

I got my first interview within 3 days of uploading my personal statement! My personal statement plays a huge role in this! I do not have outstanding step scores and I am an international medical graduate needing a visa! With these odds, I am able to stand out from the crowd because of my personal statement. Dr. Wong was able to tie in the foundation of family medicine with my personal experience and making my personal statement very sophisticated!
Grace Ng
I was researching many interview prep and personal statement editing services vigorously to find one that could help with my unique situation and to make my application competitive. I didn't simply want someone checking the grammar and throw some generic stuff back at me. I did not really expect Dr. Wong to go above and beyond to spend so much time and effort helping me edit my statement to make it appear like a masterpiece. I was lucky to get a slot in the interview prep seminar before I started writing my personal statement, which helped tremendously.

As an IMG, I must say that I was not only well-informed with the information provided in this seminar but also enlightened. Considering that the process of matching is complicated due to the competition of applicants, one must have the crucial information as a means to be ahead of the curve. Dr. Wong’s seminar enabled me to become well versed in understanding the historical backgrounds with both family and internal medicine. In addition, this seminar provided necessary structured instruction in writing the personal statement and preparing for the interview process. Dr. Wong’s seasoned experience is very unique in medicine and with this seminar, he was able to provide support, counsel, and guidance. I highly recommend this seminar and thank you, Dr. Wong.

My experience with Dr. Wong has been refreshingly outstanding. Dr. Wong was extremely clear in outlining the format and theme of my personal statement so there was never any confusion or unmet expectations. After submitting my rough draft, Dr. Wong followed up every day through the process until we were completely satisfied with the final draft. In the end, my personal statement was very thoughtful and concise while merging my personal experiences to be considered as a strong candidate for family medicine. I highly recommend Dr. Wong’s editing service if you are applying for residency. I look forward to prep for my interview with Dr. Wong in the coming months.

This service is way beyond just a simple editing service. Dr. Wong works diligently by collaborating with you, making sure you create the perfect personal statement that will allow you to stand out. Being a previous residency program director, he knows exactly what they look for and will help guide you towards the right direction. He has spent countless hours helping me with my personal statement, continually giving me feedback while also re-wording sentences to make it sound more sophisticated and cultured. In one of the many interviews I had, the program director was really really impressed with my personal statement and so impressed that I knew the history of primary care! I am so grateful to have found his services because even though I have competitive scores, I know his techniques and wisdom will allow me to stand out amongst the other applicants. I highly recommend this service and give it 5 stars!!!

While most family medicine and internal medicine rotations teach students the diagnosis and treatment of various disease conditions, I learned from Dr Wong's Seminar quite unconventional approaches, such as the actual data correlating primary care with increased life expectancy and how chronic disease models emphasize patient self-care and negotiated management. I was able to use many of these paradigms acquired through the Seminar during my interviews and the interviewers were impressed with them. I was able to look cultured by discussing the history of primary care in many interviews. Although I had competitive scores, I still needed a visa to join a US residency program; yet I did get into the program of my first choice. Thanks, Dr Wong, for the guidance.

Wong.

I was fortunate to get a family practice clinical rotation with Dr. Wong, at that time I also found out that he offers interview prep seminars and helps to write personal statements. First of all, whether you attend his seminars or not I have to say the rotation itself is a different experience compared to all the other rotations that I did. The bonus part of this rotation is that you get to interact with an experienced program director. In a 6 weeks rotation, he made me aware of the healthcare system and how to face reality as a medical practitioner which no other preceptors thought to enlighten their students with.
